Exception Management

Exception Management is activated as part of i2o Digital Shelf Monitoring. Exception Management data allows ecommerce brands to monitor daily threats to product listings. This article explains the data available across the various Exception Management tabs in the sections organized by the following:
  1. Buy Box Alerts
  2. Content Alerts
  3. Daily Customer Reviews
  4. Reseller Offers & Inventory
  5. Search Rank
AlertIn order to monitor exceptions, products must be activated in the i2o Product Center. Learn more.

Buy Box Alerts

Buy Box Alerts are delivered as part of the i2o Daily Amazon Alerts Email to inform brands of the changes to the Buy Box for each i2o-activated product listing. The historical data available in this tab of the Exception Management module offers users access to daily Buy Box records from the start of activation. Buy Box changes may occur because of stockouts, suppressions, or reseller threats.

How To View Buy Box Alerts

  1. Navigate to:
    1. Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management
  2. Select the required platform from the global switcher, which is set to Amazon by default.



  3. Click on the tab labeled Buy Box Alerts. The following Buy Box status summaries are visible on this screen:
    1. Buy Box Not Available
    2. ASIN Suppression
    3. Product Out Of Stock
    4. Lost Buy Box
    5. Buy Box Retained
  4. Click on any of the boxes mentioned in steps 2a-e to update the table below, which will display the products facing the selected Buy Box scenario.

How To Download Buy Box Alerts

You may download detailed reports on Buy Box Alerts for your i2o-activated products. The Buy Box Alerts report includes the following unique outputs:
  1. Reporting Date & Time 
  2. Buy box Status
  3. Current Buy box Winner
  4. Previous Buy box Winner
  5. MAP
  6. Current Buy box Price
  7. Previous Buy box Price
  8. Reseller Inventory
Here’s how to download the Buy Box Alerts report in XLS format.
  1. Navigate to Marketplace Monitoring > Exception Management.
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on Buy Box Alerts.
  4. Click on the Filter Icon and select the required parameters.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Optional steps:
    1. Choose the desired timeframe to apply to the reporting range on the basis of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
    2. Using the Calendar icon, select your desired date range.
    3. Select any of the boxes listing the reason for the Buy Box change to further update the product table below.
  7. Once the table below populates according to your selection criteria, click the Download Detail Report Icon in the top right corner directly above the table.

Content Change Alerts

Content Change Alerts are delivered as part of the i2o Daily Amazon Alerts Email to inform brands of changes to Amazon product details pages for all i2o activated products. Daily Content Change records are also accessible in the i2o Retail application. The historical data available in this tab of the Exception Management module offers users access to daily records from the start of activation. Daily outputs include changes to product title, images, description, bullets, variations being dropped or added, and the appearance of unauthorized variations.

How To View Content Change Alerts

  1. Navigate to:
    1. Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on the tab labeled Content Change Alerts. The following summary options are visible on this screen:
    1. Title
    2. Image
    3. Description
    4. Bullet Point
    5. Product Variation Dropped/Added
    6. Unauthorized Variation
  4. Click on any of the boxes mentioned in previous step to update the table below which will display products facing the selected type of content change.

How To Download Content Change Alerts

You may download reports on Content Change Alerts for your i2o-activated products in XLS format. The Content Change Alerts report includes the following unique outputs:
  1. Content Change Type
  2. Variation Affected
  3. Previous
  4. Latest
Here’s how to download the Content Change Alerts report in XLS format.
  1. Navigate to Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management.
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on Content Change Alerts.
  4. Click the Filter Icon and select the required parameters.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Optional steps:
    1. Choose the desired timeframe to apply to the reporting range on the basis of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
    2. Using the Calendar Icon, select your desired date range.
    3. Select any of the boxes listing the type of Content Change Alert to further update the product table below.
  7. Once the table below populates according to your selection criteria, click the Download Detail Report icon in the top right corner directly above the table.

Daily Customer Reviews

Daily Customer Review Alerts are delivered as part of the i2o Daily Amazon Alerts Email to inform brands of newly added reviews for all i2o-activated products. Daily Customer Review records are also accessible in the i2o Retail application. The historical data available in this tab of the Exception Management module offers users access to daily records from the start of activation. Daily outputs include summaries for 3 segments of customer ratings across a 5-star scale.

How To View Daily Customer Reviews

  1. Navigate to:
    1. Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on the tab labeled Daily Customer Reviews. The following summary options are visible on this screen:
    1. Customer Rating (1-2)
    2. Customer Rating (3)
    3. Customer Rating (4-5)
  4. Click on any of the boxes mentioned in the previous step to update the table below which will display products facing the selected type of customer rating.

How To Download Daily Customer Reviews

You may download reports on Daily Customer Reviews for your i2o-activated products in XLS format. The Daily Customer Reviews report includes the following unique outputs:
  1. Date of Review
  2. Customer Rating
  3. Reviewer Name
  4. Review Title
  5. Variation Reviewed
  6. Vine Review
  7. Verified Purchase
  8. Date of Extraction
  9. Review Text
  10. Found Useful Count
  11. Total Reviews
Here’s how to download the Daily Customer Reviews report in XLS format.

  3. Click on Content Change Alerts.
  4. Click the Filter Icon and select the required parameters.
  5. Click Apply.

    3. Select any of the boxes listing the type of customer rating scenario to further update the product table below.
  7. Once the table below populates according to your selection criteria, click the Download Detail Report Icon in the top right corner directly above the table.

Reseller Offers & Inventory

Reseller Offers & Inventory Alerts are delivered as part of the i2o Daily Amazon Alerts Email to inform brands of third-party reseller offers where the Buy Box was won for any i2o-activated products. Deeper Reseller Offers & Inventory records are also accessible in the i2o Retail Advisor Platform. The historical data available in this tab of the Exception Management module offers users access to daily records from the start of activation. Daily outputs include summaries authorized seller offers below MAP, unauthorized sellers winning the Buy Box, and products with inventory increases from the previous week.

How To View Reseller Offers & Inventory

  1. Navigate to either:
    1. Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on the tab labeled Reseller Offers & Inventory. The following summary options are visible on this screen:
    1. Authorized Seller Offers Below MAP
    2. Unauthorized Sellers Winning Buy Box
    3. Products With Inventory Increase Over Prior Week
  4. Click on any of the boxes mentioned in the previous step to update the table below which will display products facing the selected scenario from steps 2a-c.

How To Download Reseller Offers & Inventory

You may download reports to view Reseller Offers & Inventory for your i2o-activated products in XLS format. The Reseller Offers & Inventory report includes the following unique outputs:

  2. Status
  3. Won Buy Box %
  4. MAP
  5. Reseller Price
  6. Price Difference
  7. Fulfilment Type
  8. Reseller Inventory
  9. Inventory Limit
  10. Shipping Cost

  1. Navigate to Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management.
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on Content Change Alerts.
  4. Click the Filter Icon and select the required parameters.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Optional steps:
    1. Choose the desired timeframe to apply produce reporting as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual ranges.
    2. Using the Calendar Icon, select your desired date range.
    3. Select any of the boxes listing the type of Reseller scenario to further update the product table below.
  7. Once the table below populates according to your selection criteria, click the Download Detail Report Icon in the top right corner directly above the table.

Search Rank

Search Rank informs allows brands to monitor Amazon organic share of voice for key search terms. With this module, you can track and prioritize specific customer search terms and monitor listing ranking and page number. This data allows optimization of keyword targeting and Amazon pay-per-click advertising approaches. Search Rank data is accessible only in the i2o Retail Advisor Platform. The historical data available in this tab of the Exception Management module offers users access to weekly records from the start of activation.

How To View & Download Search Rank Reports

  1. Navigate to either:
    1. Digital Shelf Monitoring > Exception Management
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on the tab labeled Search Rank.
  4. Click the Filter Icon and select the required parameters.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Choose the desired calendar range to populate a longer history of weekly glances.
  7. Once the table below populates according to your selection criteria, click the Download Detail Report Icon in the top right corner directly above the table.
The Search Rank report includes the following unique outputs:
  1. Search Term
  2. Search Term Priority
  3. Search Rank
  4. Page Number
