Sales Insights

Overview

The Sales Insights tab is activated as part of the i2o Growth Accelerator subscription. The Sales Insights tab integrates data for your brand's overall sales performance. This includes breakouts for 1P only, 3P only, or 1P and 3P of reported revenue for the latest week, last year's revenue and prior period revenue. Additionally, you can view trend graph for category, brand, products and segment, Sales also can be viewed in a similar manner along with monitoring metrics such as Shipped COGS, Shipped units, Ordered revenue and many more. 
You can track the current week bottom performers and current week top performers with ASIN-level metrics readily accessible.
Category 360 is also made available giving you all the relevant information easily.

How To View Sales Insights

  1. Navigate to Growth Accelerator > Sales Insights > Sales Insights.  
  2. Select the required platform from the global switcher, which is set to Amazon by default.



  3. Click on the Filter icon to filter the data for your required parameters or use preset filters. 
  4. Use the Date drop down option to select the time range.  
  5. Click on Download AI Insights to view and download smart reports.
  6. Click on i2o Gen AI Summary to view AI generated quick performance updates.
  7. Click on the data within KPI card panel to view the detailed sales analysis report.
  8. Click on the Yearly Goal Achieved percentage in the YEARLY GOAL widget to see Budget Achievement chart.
  9. View the KPIs on Trend graph based on Brand, Category, Segment and Product.
  10. View the Shipped COGS, Shipped Units, Ordered Revenue and other KPIs based on Brand, Category, Segment and Product in numerical tabular form.
  11. View details of Current Week Top Performers as well as Bottom Performers
  12. View the Category 360 tab positioned next to Current Week Top Performers, to get a detailed cat 360 report.
  13. Share the data using the Share option on the right corner of the charts.
  14. Click on the Export icon to export the data in various formats.
  15. Click on the required Download button to download the necessary reports.

How to view Download AI Insights?

These downloads have three smart reports giving you valuable analysis to draw conclusions and make informed business decisions.
  1. Click on Download AI Insights.
  2. Select the desired report by clicking on radio button.
  3. Click download so save the report to your local drive.



Let's learn about each of downloaded reports:

1. Sales Summary Report

          On the first page:

  1. View key sales details such as week-over-week changes, same week last year (LY), and year-to-date (YTD) changes, shown in both percentage and dollar values.


  2. See important metrics like units sold, glance views, and conversion rates.

  3. Review sales and unit details for your top 5 brands and top 5 categories.

  4. For each brand or category, analyze detailed data on sales and units, including last week's values, same week (LY), T4 average, and YTD, along with percentage changes.

  5. Below, find the Business Summary, which highlights key insights on brand performance.

    On the second page:
  6. View brand's performance for the current week compared to the previous week, using KPIs such as sales %, ad spend %, glance views etc.


  7. View category and brand highlights, that cover revenue and week-over-week (WoW) % changes.

  8. The report also provides insights into the reasons behind any increase or decrease in sales and conversion rates.

    On the third page:

  9. You can see how the brand performed in terms of traffic and conversion variance.

  10. It highlights how traffic and conversion variance affected brands performance. 


  11. The report provides detailed insights into the top product contributors for positive and negative traffic & conversion variance.

  12. Click Download to save the report to your local drive.

2. Consumer Demand Forecast

  1. The report provides Unit, Sales & PO forecast at Brand, Category and ASIN level for 52 weeks.
  2. Here interpret trends, identify peaks & troughs, and plan your business accordingly.


3. Lost Sales

  1. Analyze ordered units, revenue, and breakdowns of lost sales due to Losing Buy Box (LBB) and Out of Stock (OSS).
  2. Track weekly trends in sales and losses across all products.
  3. Identify key areas for improvement and potential revenue recovery opportunities. 


How to view i2o Gen AI Summary?

  1. Navigate to the Growth accelerator>Sales insights.
  2. Select the platform from the global switcher.
  3. Click on the i2o Gen AI Summary button.
  4. Select the week for which you want to view insights. i2o Summarize provides data for the past six weeks.
  5. The sales summary loads for the selected week.
  6. If the WOW variance is negative, the insights show the top brands and categories causing the decline. For positive variances, it highlights the brands and categories driving the growth.
  7. If wow variance is negative, we show insights about top brands and categories that lead to the negative variance. Vice versa for positive variance.



  8. Click thumbs up to like the insights or thumbs down to dislike.
  9. Click download to save the report locally, the file gets downloaded in .pdf format.
  10. Click close to go back to the Sales Insights.

KPI Card Panel

The KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Card Panel is designed to provide insights into key metrics essential for monitoring performance. This panel offers up to five cards, each representing a specific metric for real-time, in-depth monitoring.
  1. Each card displays the metric it represents, below is a card named SHIPPED COGS having the details of metric Shipped COGS.



  2. The key details on the cards are WOW (Week Over Week) and YOY (Year Over Year) percentage if the time range filter is set to the last 4, 8, or 12 weeks.
  3. The key details on the cards are MOM (Month Over Month) and YOY (Year Over Year) percentage if the time range filter is set to the last 4, 8, or 12 months.
  4. Metric values are displayed boldly at the center.



  5. Click on the card to navigate to the reports page. 
  6. The Lost Sales card takes you to the Lost Sales report page with pre-applied filters.
    It displays lost sales due to Buy Box and stockouts on a weekly breakdown in both tabular and graphical formats, gives the analysis in both units and dollars, and lets you easily download the report.



  7. Click on the Settings button located on the right side of KPI Card Panel.
  8. Here select the metric by clicking on the checkbox next to each metric and save, up to 5 metrices from various business functionalities such as revenue, advertising, miscellaneous and units, to configure the metrics displayed on the cards. 
    LY metrices namely LY Ordered Units, LY Shipped Units, LY Shipped COGS and LY Ordered Revenue are also made available.




Yearly Goal Widget

Yearly Goal Widget helps you set yearly goal and keep a track of the progress. You can set yearly goal on your own and if the goal is not given the system automatically sets a goal equivalent to 10% of the previous year's revenue.
  1. The widget illustrates the percentage of the yearly target achieved so far for the selected week.
  2. The achievement is represented in percentage and dollars. 



  3. A small horizontal bar graph gives the numerical representation, where the darker portion represents the achieved target, and the lighter portion indicates the target remaining.
  4. Click on the percentage of the yearly target achieved. This opens a Budget Achievement pop-up window.



  5. This window gives a graphical representation of the yearly goal, here shipped COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) is plotted against the timeline.
  6. You can visually assess the progress and analyze trends over time.

Trend Graph

Trend Graph gives you unified views of historical data and future forecasts spanning six months. You can view Actuals and Forecasts for:
  1. Ordered Units
  2. Ordered Revenue ($)
  3. Shipped COGS ($)
  4. Purchase Orders (Units)
  5. PO ($) in the system.



  6. Click on the Brand, Category or Segment to view respective graphs.
  7. Click on the Add Data Series, select the desired metrices and click Update chart to get the configured graph.  



Brand & Category View

You can analyze all data trends such as Actuals, Forecasts, Ad Spend, and Traffic at the Brand/Category/Segment level and use this to compare the performance of individual brands or categories against each other and identify areas of improvement.
These views are available for both the Trend Graph and Tabular data.

Segments

The entire data is categorized into A, B, and C segments. The products contributing 80% of Revenue fall under segment A, the products contributing 15% of Revenue fall under segment B, and the products contributing 5% of Revenue fall under segment C.
Products from any segment (A, B, or C) can be converted into the T Segment (Target) and closely monitored for performance. 
  1. Go to the tabular view of sales at the bottom and click on Segment. You can see 4 separate rows for each of the segment.


ASIN Pop Up

Across various sales modules, you can click on an ASIN to see product-level metrics for an individualized look at performance. Sales and marketplace metrics are laid side by side so you can look at the latest week or trends over time.

How To View The ASIN Pop-Up In Sales Analysis Insights

  1. Navigate to Growth Accelerator > Sales Insights > Sales Insights.  
  2. Scroll down to the table with tabs labeled Current Week Bottom Performers, Current Week Top Performers and Category 360.
  3. Click on either of the two tabs (Current Week Bottom Performers or Current Week Top Performers).
  4. In the View Details column, click on the icon with four squares to open the ASIN Pop-Up.
  5. The Product Overview will display.
Info
The ASIN Pop Up is located in both Sales Analysis Insights and Product Alerts & Exceptions.

Downloads

Downloads are available across the entire sales insights screen. Click on the download button to initiate the download of reports. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I able to combine or separate 1P and 3P sales data?
Yes. For all customers who have both 1P and 3P channels, you may select from Vendor only, Seller only, or Vendor + Central views.
